LISTEN: To the first full track from Lou Reed /Metallica’s Lulu

The LP gets released at the end of October but today we have the first full length track The View. It reminds me a bit of Bowie’s dalliance with Tin Machine in parts and heard as a whole track it sounds way better than the impression the 30 second teaser gave us last week. REVIEW: Nirvana | Live At The Paramount

Just got back from a screening of this as part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the release of Nirvana’s Nevermind. As a three piece they delivered a big sound to … Continue reading LIVE REVIEW: Jebediah @ Factory Theatre, Sydney (27/05/11)

A good venue and great sound are always up at the top of the list – and for a band like Kyuss (or Kyuss Lives, as I gather they’re having to call themselves in the absence of Josh Homme on guitar), one’s hopes for a great venue and perfect … Continue reading LIVE REVIEW: Kyuss Lives! @ The Powerstation, Auckland (14/05/11)
