DARK AND DREAMY GOODNESS FROM DOUBLE VANITY

Melbourne trio Double Vanity have released ‘Night Moves’, a magical new single taken from their upcoming concept album ‘Love To Leave You‘, via Psychic Hysteria. It follows the equally compelling and hypnotic first single ‘Elevator‘.

The single is a dreamy swoon through vintage synths and drum machines – a dystopian torch-song given heart and soul via the Chrissy Amphlett meets Marianne Faithful in a Twin Peaks roadhouse vocals of Zec Zechner. I love the quirk and character of that voice! If it sounds familiar then you may also be aware of the trio’s alter ego/sister band Plaster Of Paris, who released the exceptional Lost Familiar LP last year. There’s certainly a hot streak of creativity going on across both these projects at the moment.

The video for ‘Night Moves’ was directed and produced by Geoffrey O’Connor.
