NEW MUSIC: Dolphin Midwives – Break

Cascading digital droplets of synths and celestial vocals abound on this track from Dolphin Midwives‘ recently released album Body Of Water.

The work of Sage Fisher, the effect of nature meeting humans in a symbiotic digitised future. Reverb, delay, pitch adjustment and more effects create the microtonal otherworldly experimental art-pop sound, along with her harp playing. The closest comparison would be Bjork I guess – in her vocal and instrument, collage phase.

Fisher’s work explores themes of empathy, sustainability, vulnerability and transformation through social experiment, psychoacoustics and magic.

Body Of Water, produced by Grammy-nominated producer Tucker Martine is out now via Beacon Sound.
