Avalanche City have taken out the 2011 Silver Scroll Award for songwriting with their hit Love, Love, Love. Voted for by the members of New Zealand’s APRA the song was up against The Adults (Nothing To Lose – should have won!), Unknown Mortal Orchestra (Ffunny Ffriends), Bachelorette (Blanket), Delaney Davidson (Little Heart).

Pub Rockers Hello Sailor were honoured with a place in the NZ Music Hall of Fame.
