With Pavement joining the reunion bandwagon there has been high anticipation in the air and the reports are in for their first show in Auckland New Zealand supported by the brilliant 3Ds who themselves have reunited for some shows. The band delivered a 20-plus song set centred largely on their early albums with only a few false-start glitches – and Pavement were always a group where haphazard energy ruled over technical precision.

To coincide with the tour Matador are releasing Quarantine The Past, a 23 track retrospective of the band’s music. On first listen it is a great summary of a band that explored some interesting corners of quirky guitar pop.
