Sydney trio Philadelphia Grand Jury have had a massive 2009 and to top it off they are set to release their debut album Hope Is For Hopers on Sept 25th.
The Phiily Jays, as they are affectionately known, have spent the last six months touring the country constantly – completing back-to-back national tours with Bluejuice, Yves Klein Blue and Manchester Orchestra (USA), and are currently on tour with Dappled Cities. In between these supports they also managed to sell out their own headline tour.
The first single to come from the album is ‘The Good News’ and you can grab yourself an exclusive copy of the track HERE! The track bottles the infectious choruses that the band has based its early success on. With pounding piano and lush arrangements they are Sydney’s answer to The Hold Steady, albeit with a stronger pop sensibility.
