Shocking news out of LA today as the King Of Pop has died after apparent heart failure at his home.

The man may have been pretty messed up as a person but his musical legacy is untouchable – millions of albums sold, chart domination, breakthrough music videos and some of the most obsessive fans in the world.

The trilogy of Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad set his name in stone as one of the greatest pop singers ever.

The greatest tragedy isn’t just that he has died, people die every day – but that he didn’t get a chance to make some kind of last comeback with his run of 50 shows at London’s O2 Arena, due to start mid July. For him that would have been a big part of moving on from the darker part of his life in recent times.
