Jason Molina and the rest of the MEC recorded with Steve Albini last year and the results have been named Josephine. The record is due out in July on Secretly Canadian and the band is due to kick off some touring in the USA from May.

In other Molina news, he is due to release a new EP It’s Made Me Cry to benefit the Evan Farrell Memorial Fund that was established in the wake of the death of the band’s death in a 2007 house fire. Jase is also due to release a solo 10″ to accompany a coffee table book by Will Schaff.
